This is the classical gangster movie, but I'm not a fan of that type of film, and went along anyhow. However, it was a amazing and so well-acted! Even if you're going along to accompany someone else, guarantee that you'll enjoy this one! Classic!

A long, long film

This should have been a film I wanted to watch again. Two very good actors with Mr Washington and Mr Crow - the acting was faultless.

Unfortunately the direction was very slow and one paced and the scene when these two finally meet was a total anti climax.

Of course being an American film we had to see the fact that Mr Washington was let out of jail (albeit after many years and not aging a day) - as a positive ending.

On a par with Brad Pitt's recent western - both going for the long dramatic and one paced, but hoping for an Oscar.
