Very scary, but very unextraordinary.

It is difficult to review this film without spoilers, so I will keep in short. Very suspenseful, very convincing, very human; Smith is on top form and deserves pride for one of his best-acted roles to date. CGI effects are unimaginative yet overall effective; plot, once outside the post-apocalyptic scenario, fizzling. The deus ex machina ending is particularly disappointing, as well as predictable; those frustrated by 'Signs' (Mel Gibson) will find 'I am Legend' equally irritating.
Worth seeing, but probably not worth owning.

Awesome film and great ending.
You really get a feel for what it would be like in Will Smiths position
Will Smith at his best

Will Smith is brilliant in this one-man cast role. Some people are comparing this to the likes of 28 Days Later but I Am Legend is brilliant in it's own way just as 28 Days Later is in thats own way.
I would have liked more character from the vampires as they are in the novel (which I highly reccommend) but they have enough and lack of voice just makes them a bit more mysterious and effectful in their part.
The ending was very, very poor which is the only reason I didn't give this film a 5 star, as it seemed rushed and a bit pointless. It could and should have been played off better as just before the climax, it seems as though we are going to be in for a thrilling ending.
I was able to forgive it though because 98 minutes of this 100 minute movie were 5 star.
