We’re making some changes to ODEON Première Club and we wanted to tell you all about them.  We’ve listed these out below, and hope you will take the time to read them through, so you are fully informed.

We’ve also been talking to our members over the last few months, and we want you to know that we have plans for ODEON Première Club! We know you love getting to see films and special content before it's released – so we will be hosting more special screenings for ODEON Première Club members in 2013 than ever before.  

And we are working on offering you some new additional benefits outside of our cinemas that will enable members to save money outside ODEON.  

Your loyalty to ODEON is appreciated and we want to make you feel good about being part of ODEON Première Club.  

CHANGES TO ODEON PREMIERE CLUB

Here are the changes to the ODEON Première Club scheme and terms and conditions of membership that you need to know about, that come into effect in April and June.

Redeeming your Points for tickets: Changes to online points prices
From the 5th April 2013, the number of points you need to spend for a ticket online will increase by 50 points following the introduction of a charge for booking your ticket remotely. 

The number of points you need to spend for a ticket in cinema will remain the same.

Expiring Points
The ODEON Première Club terms and conditions of membership set out when points from member accounts will expire. We’ve copied out the relevant terms below so you can read them easily.

16. To earn Points for a transaction at Cinema, you must present your Card at the till before making your purchase. To earn Points for a transaction via the Website or a Mobile App, you must log in when prompted at the time of purchase. If you redeem Points as part of a transaction, you will only earn Points on the part of transaction paid for with cash or credit / debit card. You cannot earn Points on purchases made before you joined the Club. Until you activate your Card, Earned Points will expire 28 days after they were earned.

22. If you do not use your Card to earn/redeem Points for a period of 2 years, any remaining balance of Introductory Points will expire. (Checking the balance on your account does not constitute use of your Card for these purposes).

23. Earned Points will expire 2 years after they were earned.

24. Points which have expired cannot be transferred to a new Card or  redeemed.

"Introductory Points" means Points credited to your Card at the time of joining the Club.

"Earned Points" means Points earned by you by use of your Card (ie excludes Introductory Points)

ODEON have been waiving the terms concerning the expiry of points for the last 9 months but will begin to expire points from 30th June 2013.  From that date onwards points will be removed from member accounts in accordance with these terms.

To see whether any of your points are due to expire, log in to the ODEON website with your ODEON Première Club details and take a look at the transactions where you earned points.  You will be able to see from the transaction dates when your points were earned so you can work out when the points will be removed.

During May we will make changes to the website that will make it easier to see the number of points that will expire.

Film Fan Tuesday is changing to Film Fan Monday
We will be changing the day on which members can get their discount.  From 5th April 2013 the discounts on a Tuesday will stop and instead you can get the discount on a Monday.

The new promotion will take effect on Monday 8th April 2013.
