Inspirational drama 'The Good Lie' tells the tale of a no-nonsense American woman tasked with helping South Sudanese refugees adapt to life in the United States. Reese Witherspoon stars as Carrie Davis, a woman assigned to care for the refugees who were orphaned by civil war in their homeland. Although reluctant to take on the responsibility, Carrie soon finds herself moved by the refugees' harrowing back-stories and determined to help them improve their lives. 'The Good Lie' also features South Sudanese actors Ger Duany and Emmanuel Jal, both former child soldiers in Sudan's brutal civil war.
