About this Film

Based on Mark Helprin's novel, 'A New York Winter's Tale' tells the magical tale of a thief who falls in love with a dying woman.

Beginning in the early 20th century in an alternative New York, Peter Lake (Colin Farrell) is an Irish criminal on the run from his nemesis, ruthless gang leader Pearly Soames (Russell Crowe). Lake crosses paths with the terminally ill Beverly Penn (Jessica Brown Findlay) during a break-in and falls deeply in love, but soon after, he is mysteriously transported to the present day and loses all recollection of this past life.

'A New York Winter's Tale' is the directorial debut from Akiva Goldsman and also features Will Smith and Jennifer Connelly.

A story with no meaning to it and so far fetched that no one can understand it. The questionable OIRISH accent of Farrell is surpassed only by the worst possible accent and acting of Russell Crowe. Avoid this file like the plague.

5 stars if your into total tosh of a flying horse that was a dog according to Russell Crow. Even worse than 12 years a slave.
