ODEON says...

Winston Churchill was no-one’s first choice for Prime Minister. But in Great Britain’s ‘Darkest Hour’, through his refusal to surrender and determination to fight on, he became their last hope.

Within days of his appointment, the Nazi forces had surrounded the British and French armies and were on the brink of annihilating them. Facing almost certain defeat, Churchill was forced to rally the nation and convince his colleagues to continue the desperate fight for their freedom, against any odds.

Gary Oldman stars as Winston Churchill in ‘Darkest Hour’, a critically-acclaimed biopic that features one of his finest performances.

Brilliant!

Reviewer: Big BriDate: 2018-02-21

I loved the political intrigue behind the story on how Winston Churchill became the finest leader this country had! One of the best WWII movie I have seen, avoiding all the typical mistakes the Americans make when they make films.

Too long

Reviewer: DickersDate: 2018-02-19

I actually feel bad that I found this film too long and quite slow. Basically it is all talk and no action so if that is the sort of film you like then you will probably enjoy it. Couldn't wait till the end.

Brilliant. By far the best film I have seen for ages. The acting is top notch and you end up being caught up in the emotion of the film. This is movie making and story/history telling at its best. Go see.
