ODEON says...
The assassination of John F. Kennedy in November 1963 shook the whole world. But as hard as it hit everyone else, the person most affected was his widow ‘Jackie’.

Trying to cope with unbearable grief, sorrow and loss, she still had to plan her husband’s funeral, console their children, and somehow find a way to define what JFK’s legacy would be. But there’ll never be another Camelot.

‘Jackie’ is a devastating psychological portrait of her life after her husband’s murder, driven by one of the most acclaimed performances of the year from Natalie Portman.

Natalie Portman is brilliant in this film but thats about all the positive things I could say. It was challenging to follow the sequence of events as the film kept jumping around in different periods of time. Maybe worth a watch but don't expect much

Emotional.

An engrossing film with a superb performance from Natalie Portman. The grief it wrenches out through eerie violin strings and shattered visages add to the feeling of a humid Sunday evening. The film is sad, claustrophobic yet brilliant.

Interesting

While Natalie Portman is good in this role as the widow of JFK, her voice ironically reminded me of Marilyn Monroe the whole time! It was good, but I wonder how much was fact, I read it is only about 60% based on what actually happened.

Brilliant.

A simply stunning performance from Natalie Portman makes this film stand out. The movie tackles the JFK assassination from the perspective of the first wife, focusing in on the immediate 7 days aftermath. And it does so brilliantly. First class.
