ODEON says...
‘La La Land’ follows the entwined stories of Mia, an aspiring actress who serves coffee between auditions, and Sebastian, a jazz pianist confined to playing the hits in dingy bars.

A breathless, life-affirming romance begins between the two of them, and they’re happy for the first time in a long time. But as they finally find success, the dreams they’ve pursued for so long threaten to tear them apart.

Here’s to the fools who dream. From the director of ‘Whiplash’ and starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, ‘La La Land’ is a glorious Hollywood musical that received universal adoration on the festival circuit.

simply wonderful

For all those writing negative reviews about this beautifully written, orchestrated, acted, directed, choreographed and poignantly uplifting and simultaneously heartbreaking movie- you've obviously no interest or love in the experience of the history of musicals, music, acting, direction, love, heartbreak, romance, joy, beauty, magic or humanity.

LaLa Land

The story is flat in the middle of the story seemingly losing its way which reflects the characters in the story. A love story set in an ambiguous time somewhere between late 1950's and early 1970's.the film story is as ambiguous as is the era of its.

Romance Lives

If this film doesn't make you feel special, then check your pulse. The music is brilliant, the story and directing is a masterclass.Acting is superb & Ryan Gosling's keyboard abilities are impressive, Clear the shelf for the Oscars.

Very Poor

Reviewer: Marko2Date: 2017-03-01

Just because we have't had a musical for many years doesn't mean its automatically good. Same for the silent movie a few years back. Dancing poor, storey almost an after thought. Just 5 songs and a film that just plods along.
