A young woman falls for her neighbour's visiting friend 'Eugene Onegin'. However he rejects her and later attends a ball where the two friends fight over the attentions of her sister.
After a deadly duel Onegin realises his mistake, however it is only years later that he realises Tatiana may be lost to him forever.
