About this Film

Set against the backdrop of the devastating eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D., 'Pompeii' is the epic story of Milo (Kit Harington - Game of Thrones), a young slave-turned-gladiator who must fight to save Cassia (Emily Browning - Sucker Punch), the woman he loves, from the clutches of a corrupt Roman senator (Kiefer Sutherland) before the city is destroyed.

'Pompeii' is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and also stars Carrie-Anne Moss and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Probably, as usual, the best bits are in the trailers. My wife thought the best acting was done by the volcano...guess I have to agree as the acting was a bit cheesy. Overall I'd say 3 stars...effects were good, parts of fight scenes good.

Poor Script, poor acting and poor storyline - first 5 minutes looked promising but then downhill all the way.

Very poor film, like a tv version of gladiator then turns into a complete and utter pointless film as the plot runs totally out of ideas.

Thought the effects were powerful and exciting, having been to Pompeii myself, though detail was excellent, could even imagine those characters walking the streets as they were then - however, have to agree with a previous review 'predictable plot'.....
