About this Film

Biopic 'Rush' tells the story of F1 driver Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl), focusing on the rivalry between the reserved Austrian and charismatic English racer James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth).

Charting the ever-growing competition between the pair, the film examines their very different private lives as well as racing careers; culminating in Lauda's near-fatal 1976 crash and his miraculous recovery that saw his champion Ferrari team challenge Hunt's McLaren once more just two weeks later.

'Rush' is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind).

Bigger, faster and Lauda than any other race movie…

Fast cars, glamorous girls and champagne a-flowing… Formula One has always been the sport with the most decadent vibe. More so than curling, anyway.

A world where brinkmanship is as common as wheel spins, where real danger lurks at every hairpin bend, it would seem fertile ground for a film. Particularly when your story zeroes in on the infamous rivalry between British driver James Hunt and his 1970s Austrian counterpart Niki Lauda – two wildly different characters united in their determination to win.

This movie literally had me gripping the edge of my seat til the very end. Both Chris Hemsworth & Daniel Bruhl are talented, dedicated actors. You feel the drive, emotion and energy throughout the film. Brilliant. Don't wait and watch it now!

A superb film, despite myself being a long-standing environmentalist. I am off to see it a second time, and if I am lucky a third. Utterly captivating and Chris Hemsworth's James Hunt charming, despite his unapologetic honesty.

Fantastic Movie
