Snoopy And Charlie Brown: A Peanuts Movie

ODEON says...
Charles Schulz’s beloved characters finally make their way to the big screen in ‘Snoopy And Charlie Brown: A Peanuts Movie’, where Charlie Brown will try to turn his life around.

When a new girl arrives in town, Charlie seizes the opportunity to reinvent himself, stop being a loser and become a winner for a change. Predictably, things don’t exactly go according to plan, and he’ll need the help of his dog Snoopy if he’s going to have a chance at succeeding.

Commemorating the comic strip’s 65th anniversary, ‘Snoopy And Charlie Brown: A Peanuts Movie’ is by Blue Sky Studios, creators of the ‘Ice Age’ franchise.

This film contains a sequence of flashing lights which might affect guests who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.

It was just the perfect Christmas treat for all ages, including my grandmother. She liked it as well. Seb. S

I had limited exposure to the Peanuts cartoons as a child; my only real experience of Snoopy was a VHS my sister owned - I’ve seen the same two episodes repeatedly. So I didn’t really have high expectations for this, and was pleasantly surprised. Modern day children’s films seem to feel the need to have big set-pieces: outer space travel, robots, things exploding. Snoopy was a refreshing change: essentially it’s about a deeply insecure but good natured boy falling for a girl, with a sub-story featuring Snoopy writing a novel about a World War I flying ace. I take my five-year-old twins to Odeon Kids most weeks, and this film has ranked as one of their favourites. It’s funny, thoughtful, and is charming without ever being twee. An uncomplicated but sweet and deeply enjoyable story, ‘Snoopy & Charlie Brown’ is proof that sometimes, less is more.

As a child there was a choice during school hols of watching Charlie Brown or Pebble Mill. I'd still rather watch Pebble Mill. I can't believe they're forcing this on another generation--it basically amounts to child cruelty.

Ah Charlie Brown

A delightful film. This really paid homage to the Peanuts strip and had a moving moral throughout the film. At times I wanted to cry. This really was a lovely nod to our collective knowledge of Charlie Brown. Can't wait for the Blu-Ray!
