ODEON says...
It’s 2005, and the housing market is booming. But four outsiders see what no one else can: the whole thing is a time bomb. ‘The Big Short’ is their story.

People were buying houses they couldn’t afford, with money they didn’t have, which they borrowed from banks that were negligent and greedy. Four men realised a crash was coming, and bet against the American economy to take on the banks. And make themselves rich as well, of course.

The true story of a crisis we’re still reeling from, ‘The Big Short’ boasts an outstanding cast including Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell.

“ Irresistible film about our own greed and stupidity... Serious but entertaining and intricate but funny is a difficult balance to strike, but The Big Short manages it masterfully. ”

Great film watched it yesterday, they explained what was going on so most viewers could understand. It kept you entertained throughout. Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Christian Bale all put in some of the best performances of their careers.

Scary real truth

Do you understand what goes on in the world of finance or do you just think that people who are "cleverer" than you are best left alone to get on with it? Watch and weep, or laugh and never think they are more sensible than you.
