About this Film

'The Hundred-Foot Journey' follows the Kadam family as they set up a restaurant in an idyllic French village and fall foul of the uppity owner of a Michelin-starred eatery nearby.

Culinary whiz kid Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) moves to the south of France with his family to open an Indian restaurant. But the Kadams will need to have their knives at the ready as they encounter resistance from the icy owner (Helen Mirren) of a local haute-cuisine business.

'The Hundred-Foot Journey' is based on the book of the same name by Richard C. Morais and is directed by Lasse Hallström (Chocolat).

Excellent acting, credible story, some comedy, some romance, gentle untaxing viewing. Thoroughly enjoyed it. BUT, why oh why Odeon do you show it only in the afternoons? Many of our friends would love to have seen it but have daytime commitments

Wanted a watch a good movie without excessive violence and something that had a good storyline on a lazy Sunday afternoon. This movie ticked all the boxes - thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Fantastic acting and goodish plot.
