The LEGO Movie

Contains mild fantasy violence and very mild language

About this Film

The beloved build-it-yourself toy is brought to life in 'The LEGO Movie', which sees an evil oppressor threaten to glue the tiny LEGO universe together.

Emmet (voiced by Chris Pratt) is a little yellow LEGO man who - in a bad case of mistaken identity - is called upon to save the LEGO universe from President Business (Will Ferrell). Emmet has no idea what he is doing, but luckily there are some superheroes on hand to help, including Superman (Channing Tatum), Batman (Will Arnett), Wonder Woman (Cobie Smulders) and Green Lantern (Jonah Hill).

'The LEGO Movie' is written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the team behind 'Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs'. It also stars Morgan Freeman and Elizabeth Banks.

Previews and Regional Release: 'The LEGO Movie' has a regional release date of 08/02/14 in Scotland. The rest of the UK has previews on 08/02/14 and 09/02/14, before its full release on 14/02/14.

Total Film - 4/5 Stars

The ultimate product-placement movie…

Can a toy best known for its miniature scale really fill the big screen? And how do you resist making the thing feel like one extended commercial break for the Danish company’s latest wares?

Thankfully, The LEGO Movie is so madcap hilarious that you never feel like you’re being sold out. The appointment of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller was a shrewd move. Having cut their teeth on the immensely likeable Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, they went live-action with high-school cop-com 21 Jump Street. On paper, that should have been a shameless cash-in too, but it ended up being one of 2012’s most satisfying comedies.

I take my kids 9 and 6 to the cinema quite often, and while they "sort" of liked this, it was DEADLY painful! Really hard work to sit through and not one the kids will be asking to watch in the future on DVD!

Amazing movie, like brilliant. One of those movies that would stick in your childhood as legendary. Its funny, and great for everyone, it does have childish humour, but I thought it was brilliant. I am 17 and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Silly, amazing
