About this Film

The Magnificent Seven

Meet The Magnificent Seven
Find out how director Antoine Fuqua made these actors so damn deadly.

ODEON says...
The town of Rose Creek is being terrorised by tyrannical industrialist Bartholomew Bogue. Desperate for help and with nowhere else to turn, the townspeople seek salvation from ‘The Magnificent Seven’.

They ask veteran gunslinger Sam Chisolm to help them, but he knows he can’t do it alone. Putting together a posse of seven outlaws, bounty hunters and hired guns, he faces an impossible fight against overwhelming odds – but the seven will be fighting for more than just money.

A stellar cast including Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke saddle up for ‘The Magnificent Seven’, a modern vision of the classic Western.

“ Manages to hold its own against the original ”

“ The sheer brilliance of these latter scenes justify this new version of an old favourite and shows us just why Westerns are still worth making ”

“ This director does have a flair for rhythmically intense set-pieces, and his whole film justifies its existence when the ammo starts flying ”

Great romp

We know the story, we know the outcome - and the journey getting their is a good film in this case. Would love to compare with the 7 Samurai and the previous cowboy. Good cast - same weaknesses, same strengths - just far less Mexicans!

Gr8 female lead!

The props and the characters are great. Excellent female lead and excellent main man. The action in the last scene was superb.

Lots of action!

Reviewer: DavenmickDate: 2016-09-29

Really enjoyed this film. Lots of action, right from the start. Was very tired beforehand and was worried that I would fall asleep, didn't even yawn once! Loved all the different characters.Never even noticed that it was over 2 hours long!

another remake for 13year olds that messes up the legacy of the original. Not as bad as Ben Hur though. 7 against a army of 100's, who will win.
