The Lounge team have been carefully handpicked to offer the best restaurant quality food and service. The Lounge menu has been developed by celebrated Consultant Chef Rowley Leigh of the famous Le Café Anglais, and will be brought to life by our head chef Bow Stoel. Sebastien Chaniac our Senior General Manager will head up our highly qualified cinema team, to ensure the very best in Fine Food and Film.
Rowley Leigh – Consultant Chef
Rowley Leigh, the chef proprietor of Le Café Anglais is one of the founding fathers of modern British cooking. After stints at Le Gavroche, the brothers' pastry laboratory and becoming buyer for the group, he took over their prestigious Le Poulbot restaurant as head chef in 1984, receiving many accolades including the Times restaurant of the year award in 1986. He opened Kensington Place Restaurant in 1987, which was quickly hailed by the Times as restaurant of the year. Its blend of brilliant food and an informal buzzy atmosphere set the pattern for London restaurants in the 1990's. He went on to open Le Café Anglais in 2007.
Sebastien Chaniac – Senior General Manager
With a Masters Degree in Restaurant & Business management and a host of experiences under his belt, from the operational director positions for Moti Mahal Restaurant Bar and Souteneur Lounge, to management of London's prestigious Gilgamesh Restaurant Bar Club Tea Room, and the Blue Elephant Restaurant Bar, Sebastien is the perfect ingredient to The Lounge's unique offering.
Bow Stoel – Head Chef
Having been educated in the S.v.h Dutch National Hospitality Institute, Bow Stoel went on to fulfil positions at a variety of top restaurants around the world. From the Michelin starred Okura hotel in Amsterdam, to the La Muse Vin in Paris where he was their head chef. He then quickly found himself in the trendy London eatery Superclub, his final position before joining The Lounge.
