What is ODEON Big Screen Gaming?

Imagine you and up to 14 friends taking over an ODEON screen for the ultimate private gaming session.

That’s our state-of-the-art projector and surround sound supersizing your favourite games for an experience you’ll never forget. GG? You have no idea.

What do you need to enjoy ODEON Big Screen Gaming?

  • A compatible games console
    Don’t worry – we’re platform agnostic when it comes to videogame consoles. By ‘compatible’ we mean that, in order to connect to the majority of our projectors, your console needs to have HDMI and Optical Out ports. So, as much as we’d love to hook up your vintage Atari 2600 for a Berzerk marathon, no can do. Sorry. 
  • Videogames (on your console)
    We’re not into griefing anyone. However, we do have a couple of requirements around games. We don’t currently support cloud-based gaming so please make sure that whatever you do want to play, the titles are downloaded to your console before you arrive (and/or you remember to bring any additional discs you need with you). The only other requirement we have is that you bring games with appropriate age ratings for the players taking part. Think of it this way: nobody would thank us if we showed the latest 18-rated Blumhouse horror film to 13-year-olds and the same applies to the games we project on our screens.
  • Up to 15 players
    Would you like to bring more than 14 friends with you? It’s not impossible. Please email us at [email protected] and a member of our team will get back to you.
  • An adult (if the players in your group are under 16)
    Don’t worry about them cramping your style, though. Treat your ‘designated old’ to some popcorn, send them to the back of the auditorium, and you’ll scarcely know they’re there.

You can book ODEON Big-Screen Gaming in two ways: 

  • Fill out the form above including details of which ODEON cinema you’d like to book Big-Screen Gaming at, plus how many gamers are in your group, and we’ll be in touch ASAP to sort out the details.

Then, once everything is booked, simply rock up with your friends, console and games, and we’ll take care of the rest. Game on.
