 His story so far... 

  • Billionaire playboy with extraordinary intellect, he created a high-tech electromechanical suit to escape a world peace-disrupting terrorist group.
  • Joined the Avengers to help defeat Loki, he has tackled HYDRA and battled his own A.I. creation, Ultron.
  • Feuded with Steve Rogers over the Sokovia Accords and led the mission to capture his former friend, starting the Civil War. 

Current situation: Leader of the remaining Avengers and mentor to Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man).

Played by: Chris Evans

His story so far...

  • Born in Brooklyn in 1918; became a super-soldier during WW2; spent nearly 70 years encased in ice.
  • Joined the Avengers after being resurrected by S.H.I.E.L.D.; helped quash the Chitauri Invasion, stifle the HYDRA Uprising and bring down Ultron.
  • Fought the Civil War against Iron Man/Tony Stark over the Sokovia Accords and went rogue to protect his childhood friend Bucky Barnes (aka The Winter Soldier)

Current situation: After rescuing his allies from the underwater super prison designed to hold ‘enhanced’ humans, he got fugitive on the run.

His story so far...

  • Exiled to Earth for bad behaviour by his father Odin, he redeemed himself by saving the planet from his nefarious adopted brother, Loki.
  • Became a founding member of the Avengers to stop Loki for a second time.
  • Returned to Earth to help the Avengers defeat HYDRA and Ultron.
  • Lost his fearsome hammer (Mjolnir) to Hela, the Goddess of Death, and destroyed Asgard to save his people (losing an eye in the process).

Current situation: King of Asgard, travelling with his people and Loki looking for a new home.

Her story so far...

  • Born in Stalingrad in 1984; turned her back on the KGB to become an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Helped Tony Stark bring down Ivan Vanko (aka Whiplash) and recruited Stark and Bruce Banner to join the Avengers.
  • Played a key role in stopping Loki, HYDRA and Ultron.
  • Sided with Iron Man in the Avengers Civil War but ultimately betrayed him to help Captain America.

Current situation: Forced to flee after her double-cross. in the Civil War.

His story so far...

  • Acclaimed scientist who became a green meanie after an experiment with gamma radiation went terribly wrong.
  • Banished himself to far-flung climes until recruited to become an Avenger by S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Helped to conquer Loki, HYDRA and Ultron (the artificial intelligence he co-created with Tony Stark);
  • Fled Earth and landed on Sakaar where – as Hulk – he became a fearsome gladiator and assisted Thor in saving his people.  

Current situation: Travelling with Thor, Loki and the Asgardians to Earth.

His story so far...

  • Likeable teenager who gained his powers after being bitten by a spider.
  • Recruited by Tony Stark to join his fight against Steve Rogers in the Avengers Civil War, was given a snazzy new suit for his troubles.
  • Defeated the dangerous gangster know as the Vulture and turned down an offer to become a full-time Avenger.

Current situation: Friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man looking out for the little guy.

His story so far...

  • Drawn into the Avengers Civil War due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding his father’s death (a bombing in Vienna orchestrated by vengeful Sokovian, Helmut Zemo, to frame Captain America)
  • Granted the Winter Soldier and Captain America asylum in his home country of Wakanda.
  • Returned home to take up his rightful position as king of Wakanda, as well as the mantle of Black Panther andd fought and defeated would-be usurper Erik Killmonger
  • Decided to share his nation’s incredible technology with the world.

Current situation: Ruling the highly advanced but volatile nation of Wakanda.

His story so far...

  • Brilliant neurosurgeon whose career was cut short by a terrible car accident, learnt about magic and alternate dimensions from the Masters of the Mystic Arts.
  • Became a Master himself in the process saving Earth from the Dark Dimension.
  • Helped Thor find his father, Odin.

Current situation: Overseeing the New York Sanctum.

Her story so far...

  • Born in Sokovia, grew up despising Tony Stark who she blamed for the death of her parents.
  • Gained superpowers following HYDRA meddling and  joined forces with Ultron to get long-awaited revenge on Stark.
  • Changed allegiance after finding out Ultron’s real, nefarious intentions.
  • Joined Team Cap in the Civil War.

Current situation: Living in Europe with Vision.

His story so far...

  • Born in 1917, a soldier in the 107th Infantry Regimen and long-time friend of Steve Rogers.
  • Captured and fitted with a cybernetic limb by HYDRA after losing his left arm in a train ambush and brainwashed into becoming deadly HYDRA agent, the Winter Soldier.
  • Killed Tony Stark’s parents as a result of this programming.
  • Blamed for the death of Wakandan leader T’Chaka, saved from Black Panther’s wrath by Captain America.
  • Granted asylum in Wakanda after real culprit discovered.

Current situation: Glimpsed in Wakanda, recovering and seemingly at peace (for a while).

His story so far...

  • Powerful android brought to life by Ultron and geneticist Dr. Helen Cho, fuelled by the Mind Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones.
  • Was key in defeating Ultron in the Battle of Sokovia, earning himself the title of official Avenger.
  • Joined forces with Tony Stark in the Avengers Civil War and injured War Machine accidentally in the ensuing fight.

Current situation: Living in Europe with Wanda Maximoff (aka Scarlet Witch), but still stricken with guilt over injuring James Rhodes.

His story so far...

  • Boyhood friend of Tony Stark, became a respected officer and pilot in the United States Air Force.
  • Joined the Avengers as War Machine after distinguishing himself in Sokovia.
  • Agreed with Stark on the Sokovia Accords, he fought along him during the Civil War.
  • Retired from active duty after suffering a serious injury during Avengers Civil War.   

Current situation: Attempting to walk again with the help of Tony Stark.

His story so far...

  • Dismissed himself from the United States Air Force to help veterans experiencing PTSD.
  • Aided Steve Rogers in the search for his childhood friend Bucky Barnes, he became an official member of the Avengers during which time he crossed paths with Ant-Man.
  • Helped Cap rescue the Winter Soldier during the Civil War until he was imprisoned in the Raft for his efforts.

Current situation: Escaped from the Raft prison with Captain America and the others.

Their story so far...

  • More recently defeated Abilisk and the Celestial Ego, who was Peter Quill's father. 
  • Have a common enemy with the Avengers in Thanos. Not only he's a menace for the whole galaxy, but the brutal adoptive father of Gamora and Nebula. 

Current situation: Traversing the universe looking for their next adventure.
