About this Film

Fly Me To The Moon 3D

ODEON says...
A space adventure of the third kind.

In 1969, three astronauts dared to go where no man had gone before; the Moon.  'Fly Me to the Moon' combines the Apollo 11 mission with a whimsical twist involving three tween-age flies who go along on an incredible space adventure.

Introducing new generations to space exploration and the historic moment when the world was united for this awe-inspiring achievement, 'Fly Me to the Moon' features a live action/animation cameo by real-life Apollo 11 astronaut, Buzz Aldrin.

Great kids adventure

Reviewer: Hannah pop3Date: 2008-10-24

Great film i felt like ducking from the flies as the came out of the screen. The moon landing s were great really good animation, actually felt like i was there, good promotion for space exploration very exhilarating.

Great 3D

Reviewer: CeeBeeDate: 2008-10-19

The 3D was absolutely superb and some of the 'close up' shots had me ducking from flying bugs that suddenly appear close up right in front of your nose! Unfortunately, to get such good 3D effects the colour suffers with the general appearence being rather pale/pastel with reliance on blue and grey shades which is a bit different to the brightly coloured CG most kids are used to. The story itself is good and my 6 year old would certainly go and see it again. The idea is a good one basing it on actual events (the first moon landing) but this is quite possibly lost on a lot of the audience unfortunately! A good movie but I can't see why "if you liked 'Meet The Robinsons', you'll love this" as they're quite different films. Well worth seeing though!
