About this Film

The Curse Of La Llorona

ODEON says...
La Llorona. The Weeping Woman. A horrifying apparition, caught between Heaven and Hell, trapped in a terrible fate sealed by her own hand. The mere mention of her name has struck terror around the world for generations. In life, she drowned her children in a jealous rage, throwing herself in the churning river after them as she wept in pain.

Now her tears are eternal. They are lethal, and those who hear her death call in the night are doomed. La Llorona creeps in the shadows and preys on the children, desperate to replace her own. As the centuries have passed, her desire has grown more voracious... and her methods more terrifying.

All customers, especially those who are particularly sensitive to flickering strobe light sources, are advised that some scenes in this film: “THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA”, contain strobe light effects. Those who may be affected should take appropriate action.

Unlikely some other horror films I have seen, I found its story-line rather plausible - not over the top, that is. Watch out for Linda Cardellini 5-star performance! This is a £9 million budget film that has made over £100 million so far ...

Well acted but talk about deja vu. I was willing the film to end. Literally you will have seen this all before - the creepy ghost bride, the exorcist being blown back against a wall, the eerily lit corridors with figures in, the mirror shock scares.

wait for dvd

As a big lover of horror and James Wan. I was really disappointed in this movie. Scobby-Doo is scarier tbh. La Llorona is not scary , she is almost laughable in her 'wedding-like dress'. wait for the DVD. not worth your money.

Scare the kids

Boogie man (or woman) scares the kids. This is the essential plot. Scoobie-Doo clip gives it away. The spirit says boo a few times. It does not get scarier than that. A harmless film parents can watch with the kids.
