About this Film

Wind River

ODEON says...
Cory Lambert, a veteran tracker in the wilderness of Wyoming, discovers a dead body in the ‘Wind River’ Native American reservation, and the FBI sends a young agent to investigate.

Jane’s a rookie, and the difficult conditions of the Wyoming winter are very tough on her. She and Cory team up to try and solve the case, and they journey deep into a violent, treacherous world that neither of them is prepared for.

Taylor Sheridan, Academy Award-nominated writer of ‘Sicario’ and ‘Hell Or High Water’, makes his directorial debut with ‘Wind River’, a thrilling, haunting tale of death and survival in the depths of winter.

Enjoyed it..love bleak snowy landscapes.......the story was a bit thin though.....they didn't so much solve it....than stumble onto it.......good acting and landscapes though....go see it...just for that

DIFFERENT !!

Quite slow to get going but eventually the story unwinds and livens up. 3 star or 4, 4 star as it is a bit different. Again sometimes hard to hear what they are saying, too much mumbling.

Excellent.

A well crafted crime thriller with the feel and pacing of "Fargo" or "True Detective". Its not high on action scenes but it packs a strong emotional punch. Renner's performance in particular stands out. Highly recommended.

It wants to make a political statement but very poorly executed - weak plot and the story was all over the place with random references and vague investigative efforts. Unfortunate as the issue that was being highlighted was lost!
