ODEON Leicester Square turned into 1970s Los Angeles for The Nice Guys UK Premiere. Palm trees, seventies prints and classic cars dotted the sandy carpet as stars Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe met their fans and talked about their exciting new film. Ryan Gosling talked mermaids and unicorns, while director Shane Black promised a detective thriller despite the films more hilarious touches.
The Nice Guys
Holland March and Jackson Healy are ‘The Nice Guys’. March is an unlucky, incompetent private investigator, and Healy is an enforcer. Translation: he beats people up and charges for it.
He’s been hired to find a missing girl called Amelia, and he needs an investigator to help him. Unfortunately, he’d also been hired recently to break March’s arm. And a simple case gets very complicated when they learn that Amelia’s somehow involved with the Mob.
Shane Black, the writer of ‘Lethal Weapon’, returns to the buddy cop genre that made his name, along with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling as ‘The Nice Guys’.
