These Terms apply to your online purchase of tickets, 3D glasses, food and drink from ODEON using the ODEON website or the ODEON app. They contain important information about your purchase, so please read carefully.
2.1. In these Terms, if you are in the UK, “ODEON” means Odeon Cinemas Limited, a company registered in England with company number 1854132. If you are in the Republic of Ireland, “ODEON” means United Cinemas International (Ireland) Limited, a company registered in Ireland with company number 441782. You can find our registered office and VAT number on the main Legal page on the website.
2.2. If you have any questions regarding these Terms or your online purchase, please contact our Guest Service Centre via the "Contact Us" page of the website.
3.1. Your online order is an offer to purchase. If ODEON accepts your order, we will display a confirmation page on your screen, and there will be a contract between you and ODEON. We will also e-mail you a confirmation of your order.
3.2. If an online pricing error occurs, and the error could reasonably be recognised by you as an error, ODEON is not obliged to supply at the incorrect price, even after the confirmation page has been displayed and the confirmation email has been sent to you.
3.3. Price and availability information is subject to change without notice.
3.4. You need to be a myODEON member to use the ODEON app.
3.5. All prices include VAT.
4.1. We charge a fee for booking your tickets online, unless we specify otherwise. We have set out the key points below and you can find more information at https://www.odeon.co.uk/privacy-and-legal/online-booking-fee if you are in the UK or https://www.odeoncinemas.ie/privacy-and-legal/online-booking-fee if you are in the Republic of Ireland:
4.1.1. When you book a ticket online, the ticket price you see includes the online booking fee of 75p per ticket in the UK or 75c per ticket in the Republic of Ireland.
4.1.2. If you book an Adult and Child ticket bundle, there is a 75p or 75c booking fee for each person in the bundle.
4.1.3. If you book online using a voucher, please check the voucher terms to see if the voucher includes the online booking fee. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to pay the online booking fee to use the voucher online.
4.1.4. We do not charge an online booking fee for tickets purchased in the cinema.
4.2. Age restrictions apply to film viewing and some ticket types. Please check carefully before you book and be ready to show proof of age at the cinema.
4.3. You need 3D glasses to watch a 3D film. You can buy these when you book your ticket if you don’t already have a pair.
4.4. Seating will be reserved unless the booking process states otherwise.
4.5. You can access your ticket in these ways:
4.5.1. At some cinemas, you can use the booking reference provided in your booking confirmation to collect your ticket.
4.5.2. At other cinemas, if you have booked on the ODEON app your ticket will be displayed on the app, and if you have booked on the ODEON website there will be a link to your ticket from your booking confirmation email. You can use the ticket to head straight to the screen. You can also share your ticket with friends and family so that they can go into the screen separately.
5.1. For some of our cinemas, you can order food and drink online to be brought to your seat or collect in the cinema. How this works depends on which cinema you select, as confirmed in the online purchase journey.
5.2. For Luxe & Dine cinemas (such as Islington), you can use the ODEON app to order food and drink to be brought to your seat during a specific screening. You will need details of your screening and seat number to place your order. You cannot order food and drink for collection at the retail counter at this kind of cinema.
5.3. For other cinemas:
5.3.1. If you order using the ODEON app, you do not need to buy a film ticket to purchase food and drink online. You can also add more food and drink items to your order after you have made your initial order. If you order using the ODEON website you need to buy a film ticket to purchase food and drink online.
5.3.2. Once you have purchased your food and drink online, please press the “Start My Order” button on the ODEON app or ticket when you arrive in the cinema, then press “Yes I Am Here” to go to the retail counter to collect your items. Your collection number will be displayed on the digital screen at the collection counter.
5.3.3. If you have purchased food and drink with a film ticket they must be collected on the same day as your film screening, any time before the cinema closes. If you have purchased food and drink without a film ticket they must be collected before the cinema closes on the same day that you ordered.
5.4. Alcohol can only be purchased online at certain cinemas. Alcohol can only be ordered and consumed by people aged 18 or over. ODEON operates Challenge 25. If you appear to be under the age of 25 when collecting or receiving an online alcohol order, we will only supply the alcohol if you show us photographic proof of age.
5.5. For product details (including nutritional and allergen information) please see the information on our website at https://www.odeon.co.uk/experiences/food-drinks/food-and-drinks-facts-and-figures/ if you are in the UK or https://www.odeoncinemas.ie/experiences/food-drinks/food-and-drinks-facts-and-figures/ if you are in the Republic or Ireland, ask a host in the cinema, or check the back of pre-packaged items.
6.1. For online ticket and food and drink purchases, there is no statutory cooling off right.
6.2. If you have booked tickets using the ODEON app, you can use the app to cancel your order and refund all the items in the order on a self serve basis (provided that you have not pressed the button to collect any food or drink items). You can do this up to 24 hours before the advertised start time of the screening. Please note that you will not be able to get a refund of the online booking fee if you cancel in this way. There is no ability to cancel your order on the ODEON website, or to cancel any order on the app which only consists of food and drink.
6.3. We will use reasonable endeavours to offer self serve refund functionality on the ODEON app but it may be unavailable for reasons beyond our control, or we may decide to suspend this functionality. In some cases there may be a small delay in activating the refund –if you get an error message please wait and try again a little later.
6.4. Please check your online order and ensure you meet the film and ticket type requirements (eg age) before you place your order, as we are under no obligation to refund or amend your purchase if you make a mistake or change your mind except as stated above.
7.1. We aim to honour all online food and drink orders but there may be times where your chosen items are not available on the day for reasons beyond our reasonable control. If this happens, you can choose whether to take a substitute product (up to a value of the food and drink you purchased) or receive a refund.
7.2. On occasions, we may shut cinemas, screens, or food and drink facilities temporarily for reasonable periods of time to carry out maintenance, repairs, refurbishment or cleaning, or where required by law, or for other reasons outside of our control. We will endeavour to reopen the affected facilities as soon as is reasonably possible in these circumstances. We may also cancel, reschedule or substitute screenings for operational reasons in accordance with our General Admission Terms. If any of these affect your booking, we will endeavour to contact you to cancel, reschedule or refund your booking.
Our General Admission Terms apply to everyone visiting our cinemas. We reserve the right to refuse admission should you breach any of ODEON's General Admission Terms or these Terms.
ODEON reserves the right to add to or amend these Terms from time to time. Amendments will take effect when posted on the website or ODEON app. If you make an online purchase after any amendment to these Terms, the updated version of these Terms will apply.
11.1. If we fail to comply with these Terms, or fail to use reasonable skill and care in providing tickets, 3D glasses, food and/or drink to you, we are responsible for loss or damage that you suffer which is a foreseeable result of our failure. Foreseeable loss or damage can be foreseeable in two ways: either it is obvious that it will happen, or if at the outset both you and us knew it might happen. We are not responsible for loss or damage which is not foreseeable.
11.2. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation. We will always tell you in writing if this happens, and we will ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under the contract. You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these Terms to another person if we agree to this in writing
11.3. This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
11.4. Each paragraph of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
11.5. If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these Terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date.
12.1. If you live in the UK, these Terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of your purchase in the English courts. If you live in a part of the UK which is not England, you can choose whether to bring legal proceedings in respect of your purchase in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, or the English courts.
12.2. If you live in the Republic of Ireland, these Terms are governed by Irish law, and any disputes will be dealt with by the Irish courts.
12.3. All information, including these Terms, will be supplied to you in English only, and we will only communicate with you during any contract between us using the English language.
12.4. Alternative dispute resolution is a process where an independent body considers the facts of a dispute and seeks to resolve it, without you having to go to court. If you are not happy with how we have handled any complaint, you may want to use alternative dispute resolution. The European Commission has established a website for online dispute resolution which is available at www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/, and which is designed to assist consumers in resolving disputes online without having to go to court.
12.5. There is no requirement to publicly file the contract.
