Directed by: Brad Bird
Voices: Craig T. Nelson, Samuel L. Jackson, Holly Hunter, Isabella Rossellini
Plot in brief: Picking up the action 45 seconds after the original ended, this Super sequel sees Helen Parr (aka Elastigirl) out on the streets fighting crime, while Bob (aka Mr. Incredible) stays at home watching Violet, Dash and the increasingly powerful Jack-Jack.
Fast fact: Incredibles 2 is Pixar’s 20th feature film.
Why it shouldn’t be missed: With the original vocal cast all present and correct, including Holly Hunter as Elastigirl and Samuel L. Jackson as family friend and ally Frozone, plus the introduction of a mysterious masked villain known as Screenslaver, Pixar has once again come up trumps.
Our summer treat
To celebrate the release of the highly-anticipated 'Incredibles 2', we are giving away an ‘Incredibles' superhero face mask to all guests. Exclusive to ODEON, you and your family can become your very own team of superheroes!
Directed by: Ol Parker
Starring: Meryl Streep, Lily James, Amanda Seyfried
Plot in brief: Ten years after the wildly popular original (for a while the most successful movie ever in the UK), Donna and the gang are back for another helping of sun, sea and ABBA songs. Set 10 years later, the story sees Amanda Seyfried’s Sophie drawing on her mother’s past after finding out she’s pregnant.
Fast fact: Despite the good-natured roasting he received for the first movie, Pierce Brosnan WILL be belting out the tunes again in this sequel. “I’m singing, believe me, I’m singing,” laughed the not-especially-dulcet-toned Irish actor during an interview with USA Today.
Why it shouldn’t be missed: All of the original cast are back for this sequel and there are several new faces too, including Lily James as a young Donna and Cher as Sophie’s grandmother (singing Fernando no less).
Release date: 26 July
Directed by: Christopher McQuarrie
Starring: Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg
Plot in brief: In this sixth chapter of the action-packed spy series, Ethan Hunt’s past choices come back to haunt him after an IMF mission goes terribly wrong. With the fate of the world again at stake, can Hunt pull off the impossible once more?
Fast fact: Tom Cruise broke his ankle while performing a stunt for this movie, but got up AND CARRIED ON. “I didn’t want to do it again,” laughed the 55-year-old actor on The Graham Norton Show. Filming was ultimately delayed for seven weeks while Cruise recovered.
Why it shouldn’t be missed: With Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson all returning, and Henry Cavill (aka Superman) also joining in the fun, this is the IMF’s most exciting mission yet. Should you accept M:I-6 as your film choice, you definitely won’t regret it. That helicopter stunt = WOW!

Directed by: Genndy Tartakovsky
Voices: Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg
Plot in brief: Mavis decides her dad Drac is desperately in need of a vacation and so she books them on a surprise luxury monster cruise, along with Johnny and the rest of their brood. Once on board, the lonely vamp becomes attracted to the ship’s captain, Ericka. But this dreamy fledgling romance quickly becomes a nightmare when it’s revealed that Ericka has a deep, dark secret – one that could destroy all of monster-kind.
Fast fact: The story takes place six years after the events of HT2.
Why it shouldn’t be missed: Packed with humour, heart and every type of beastie you can think of, this colourful, chaotic adventure is perfect summer viewing for all the family. Trust us when we say it’ll be love at third bite!

Release date: 3 August
Directed by: Peyton Reed
Starring: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Hannah John-Kamen
Plot in brief: In this sensational sequel to the 2015 MCU smash, Ant-Man gets a partner to watch his back: Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne (aka the Wasp). Which is just as well, because there’s a mysterious new villain on the loose, one with the power to walk through walls.
Fast fact: Michelle Pfeiffer makes a return to the comic-world world as Janet van Dyne, Hank Pym’s missing wife. Pfeiffer played Catwoman/Selina Kyle in 1992’s Batman Returns.
Why it shouldn’t be missed: Rumour has it that the events in Ant-Man and the Wasp run parallel with the events in Avengers: Infinity War, with the Quantum Realm – which features heavily in this sequel – potentially holding the key to defeating Thanos in Avengers 4.
